When I started Ashwood & Hawke and built my first wood art piece at the beginning of 2021, I had never touched a power tool. That piece still hangs in my home, serving as a reminder of where I started, and what can happen when you take the leap.

I took my first custom order later that month and never looked back. Woodworking has become my passion.

As a stay-at-home mom to my two boys, it started as my “me” time. Creating art and building was not only the creative outlet I had been looking for but something that empowered me to believe in myself. Now as a single mom, I get to support myself and my kids doing what I love and making art.
